Webmaster & Tech Admin - Weeya Calif

Weeya Calif has a B.A. in Art Education and a Master's Degree in Technology Integration. She currently teaches over 660 students art and digital art.

She also works in the Native American community teaching digital art and art fundamentals to her community children.

​She works on several boards and organizations. She is the recipient of several grants that were beneficial in her designing and implementing a digital arts program for a local school she works at as an art teacher and was able to create a digital program for the Native community in which she lives.  In 2022, she was the recipient  of the Golden Apple Award and Teacher of Distinction.

Weeya is a traditional dancer at pow wows & festivals. She wears the traditional clothing of the Cherokee women from the 18th Century. She is also a storyteller at events, libraries and social gatherings.

Weeya is the webmaster for The Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama. She is responsible for the website and our social media presence. She is also the tech administrator for the tribe and handles all the technology for the tribal office and employees.
